Introduction

My name is Allison Sadler and I am a freshman at Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. Even though I live in Topeka now, that is only something that is very new to me. For the past 18 years of my life I have lived in Kansas City, Missouri. I've grown up around attractions and sights that I took for granted. While moving my life to Topeka, I have began to see why so many people strive to go to Kansas City whether it's for a weekend or to end up living there themselves.

Topeka, Kansas is very different from life in Kansas City and I have noticed this first-hand. From sight seeing to shopping, the two cities are very unalike. This doesn't make one city better than another, they both have qualities I love but that is not why I am writing this post.

Being a college student in Topeka you are always trying to find fun things to do when you get an opportunity away from homework. At least that is what my friends and I are always striving for. However, we have realized that fun activities to do in Topeka are very limited. The topic of conversation always relates to going to Kansas City for a weekend. Other people I have talked to as well have mentioned how much they love Kansas City because of the activities and it's only an hour away getaway.

THIS IS WHY I AM HERE

In this blog I will be giving different sights, sounds, activities shopping, and food options in Kansas City. My goal is to inform anyone who is interested in going to Kansas City all of the different things this city has to offer.
